Treasures from Lost and Found Charms

We received some very special presents from a very talented artist, who happens to be my cousin (how cool is that?!). Every piece I saw made me want to go back to playing with my polymer clay! (For about 10 seconds; then I remembered what a pain it is to clean up the mess and the paint. I better stick to my needle felt!)
The amount of work and effort she put into these pieces is incredible. They are all hand crafted with polymer clay and hand painted. Super cute aren't they?!

One of my favourite! This bunny cookie has melted chocolate and tiny sprinkles! She even added "burnt" marks... perfectly baked!

Look at all those small details she added on... eye lashes, sparkles, strands of hair... they required very steady hands and lots of patience.

She knows how much I love Ghibli!

Can't go wrong with more bunny items =D

Some tiny critters including Toffee as requested... don't you love the shades on the penguin?

Are you jelly? If you want to learn some techniques, she works tirelessly to produce these tutorials on polymer clay! Once in a while she has contest where you can enter to win one of her creations!

Also check out her her shop on Etsy, custom made orders are welcome!

Over the rainbow bridge + new member

I know... this blog and our facebook page are probably feeling neglected... I haven't been updating them as often as I should have been.
Since Toffee left for the rainbow bridge, in August 2012 we welcomed our new member of the family - Grizzly. As we were in the process of bonding our Princess Pepper with him, Pepper left us to join Toffee as well. We are still healing from these losses, and every time I come to this blog, there was a sense of sadness even thinking about updating our furry friends' pages (thus, my excuse of not updating my blog). Well, today, I finally did it. They are over the rainbow bridge and watching over us.

Another Felt'n Love! Always a pleasure doing one of these projects (especially for bunny lovers). This pair flew all the way to Hong Kong!

Congratulations to C + J!

Felt Clean - cutest little sponge for your kitchen and bathroom

Something fun (and cute) for your kitchen and bathroom! Little Binky has a new product series - Felt Clean!
These little critters are made out of acrylic fiber. Unlike our Felt Charming series, Felt Clean:
- can float on water, so you can use them as toys in the bathtub
- are squishable, so squish them like a sponge and let them air dry
- are twice as big as the Felt Charming phone charm

Orca, Baby Seal, Dolphin, Penguin.  Ready, Set,  Jump
float toys
no, getting one of these will not make your man do your dishes
うさぎ饅頭 Bunny Manjyu, sorry not edible
I have been reluctant to use them to clean dirty dishes (they are too cute to get grungy!) but according to the material supplier, they are capable of doing so. I have been using them to dry off the seal between the sink and backsplash, and the bathtub seal after showering, for which they are ideal.

They will be available at my Etsy store starting early December 2012. Add some cute-power to your counter and see what other jobs they can help you with!

Toffee, you are greatly missed!

It was 2 days ago that we found that Toffee had a molar problem through his annual check up. Even though it didn't bother him yet, eventually it would have caused him so much pain that he would have stopped eating. Today, on what was supposed to be a simple procedure to either file down or extract the molar, his heart stopped suddenly while he was under anesthetic. Aug 23rd, 2012, Toffee was not able to come home.

Toffee, thank you for the happiness that you brought us all these years. We'll miss your binkies, your craziness in the morning. I'll even miss your knocking, chewing on our bedroom door, trying to get in, to wake me up. You are greatly missed.

Congratulations to Piggie & Hippo!

Really enjoyed working on this custom project for a friend's brother's wedding. This pair is made as rear view mirror charms, both about 3 inches tall. Maybe too cutesy as cake topper??!

Congratulations to the newlyweds! =D

Binky to eCrater

We are working on an online store at eCrater... slowly. The most time consuming part is to take and edit each individual picture. Since each listing has at least 5 pictures, I think this weekend is gone... actually, gimp is working against me lately, I think it's going to take me another week to list one of each product. Our Esty store will be restocked after our eCrater store is set up.

We are trying out a new shipping service, cheaper than Canada post! This service will take the package across the boarder to the US and ship via USPS. They charge a fee (of course) in addition to the USPS shipping charges... how that is still cheaper than Canada post, I have no clue. Now shipping up to 10 needle felt phone straps is $4, anywhere. Shipping Mochi/Towel bunnies is $4 for 1st item + $1 for additional item.

Photo from Alina

Even though we didn't have our camera at Bunfest, we are very lucky that Alina was there to take some awesome pictures at our booth! We can't thank you enough Alina!

Directly below is one of our microplush Blankie Bunnies; below that three pictures of a selection of our Felt'in Love collection. And, of course, our sign (featuring the mighty Toffee) letting everyone know that 10% of all Blankie Bunnies sales goes to Rabbit Rescue!

BunFest 2011

Another sucessful BunFest!! We thank all the many many cute new buns and owners who visited our booth, we had such a great time. Too bad we forgot to charge the battery of our camera so no pictures this year ><...
The past month has been a busy time for us preparing for this day, and we are a little sad that BunFest is over but... only 365 days to go til the next one! We'll count down soon =P

Store front at Pacific Mall

Since we moved to Mississauga, 2 hours back and forth to Pacific Mall during rush hour of traffic after a long day of work became really tiresome. So we decided to end our contract with Kidult and are concentrating on finding a closer store to sell our Little Binky crafts. In the meantime, we'll be reopening our etsy store soon now that Bunfest is over and we have a little time before the busy Christmas season. So stay tuned!

New Location at Kidult

Little Binky has found a new home at Kidult (Pacific Mall unit A18)! A smaller store but very friendly staff, providing us with more services. Drop by when you are in the area, periodically we have new felted animal members. If you haven't seen your favourite animal yet, send us an email and we'll see what we can do!

Move Move Move Busy Busy Busy

So we were in the middle of moving into a bigger condo while getting the news that Gagoo Box at Pacific Mall would be no longer in business as of tomorrow (Feb 1st). @_@

So Little Binky's little store shelf will move too. We are currently looking for another location for it, maybe at Pacific Mall again... even though our new condo is soooooooo far away from the mall. Any good suggestions?

This is also why we haven't been able to update this blog (we have lots more little felting animals added to the collection!!)... we have been so busy looking for a new home, selling our old home, fulfilling custom made orders, Christmas, Chinese new year, parties ... ... ... ... and being lazy... and now finding a new home for Little Binky. Anyway, hope to bring you some good news very soon!

May the Year of Rabbit brings you good health and lots of joy. Be kind to the buns!

waaaah what a blast

First of all, we want to say thank you to Rabbit Rescue for hosting Bunfest! We had an awesome time meeting tons of bunny lovers and their fuzzy family members! We want to thank those of you who visited our booth, with lots of squealing, laughing, oooh-ing, aaaaawww-ing, heartbeat-raising, OMG-ing, "cool"-ing and even "fainting". On a personal note, seeing all those reactions from you made me feel that building my finger calluses were worthwhile! Any sale was just an added bonus.
We are looking forward to attending Bunfest 2011 and seeing everyone again, and we hope to meet new bunnies and bunny owners next year!
