New Location at Kidult
Little Binky has found a new home at Kidult (Pacific Mall unit A18)! A smaller store but very friendly staff, providing us with more services. Drop by when you are in the area, periodically we have new felted animal members. If you haven't seen your favourite animal yet, send us an email and we'll see what we can do!

Move Move Move Busy Busy Busy
So we were in the middle of moving into a bigger condo while getting the news that Gagoo Box at Pacific Mall would be no longer in business as of tomorrow (Feb 1st). @_@
So Little Binky's little store shelf will move too. We are currently looking for another location for it, maybe at Pacific Mall again... even though our new condo is soooooooo far away from the mall. Any good suggestions?
This is also why we haven't been able to update this blog (we have lots more little felting animals added to the collection!!)... we have been so busy looking for a new home, selling our old home, fulfilling custom made orders, Christmas, Chinese new year, parties ... ... ... ... and being lazy... and now finding a new home for Little Binky. Anyway, hope to bring you some good news very soon!
May the Year of Rabbit brings you good health and lots of joy. Be kind to the buns!

waaaah what a blast
First of all, we want to say thank you to Rabbit Rescue for hosting Bunfest! We had an awesome time meeting tons of bunny lovers and their fuzzy family members! We want to thank those of you who visited our booth, with lots of squealing, laughing, oooh-ing, aaaaawww-ing, heartbeat-raising, OMG-ing, "cool"-ing and even "fainting". On a personal note, seeing all those reactions from you made me feel that building my finger calluses were worthwhile! Any sale was just an added bonus.

We are looking forward to attending Bunfest 2011 and seeing everyone again, and we hope to meet new bunnies and bunny owners next year!

Little Binky was interviewed by Ming Pao's Saturday magazine! The article was published on August 7th, 2010. For those who can read Chinese, here is a scanned copy! Sorry for the poor quality, we are still waiting for the official pdf file.

How needle felting works
It still amazes me how simple it is (but time consuming):
that's it, fold the wool, poke it with the needle and ta-da

well, maybe add a few accidents if you are not careful! Do not watch TV while doing needle felting!
Here's a video to show you how to needle felt a pumpkin in detail.

My first (& 2nd & 3rd & 4th...) needle felting project!
Apparently needle felting has been around for quite a while but I've only heard about it 2 weeks ago (so slow...) A few days ago I finally got a hand on some materials and here are my results! Are they cute or are they very cute?!
and lastly, do you know who this is? We are still following Bleach, and my hubby wants to buy a plush Kon. So instead of spending the money, I made him a mini one sitting on top of the computer now!

Rabbit Rescue
Since we love bunnies so much, we are proud to announce that 10% of all sales will be donated to Rabbit Rescue, an Ontario based charity dedicated to finding new homes for domestic rabbits that have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Rabbit Rescue takes "last chance" bunnies from regular animal shelters finds homes for hundreds of animals each year that would otherwise be euthanized.
Our dear departed Abby was adopted from RR.

Little Binky made it to Etsy! (and facebook)
We set up a shop at Etsy!! We have wanted to do this for a long time but it was such a hassle to determine a shipping charge. @~@ At the moment we are still trying to figure out how to pack a Mamemaru product so that it is safe for shipping, so we are only selling those by request and for pick up at Pacific Mall.
It's surprising to see how expensive it could be to ship internationally! According to Canada Post's online tool, a small package, 0.5 lb, cheapest way to ship to Hong Kong would cost over $30!!? That must be mistaken!

豆丸 (Mamemaru) Series
豆 = bean (like edamame), 丸 = round/circle. All of our polymer animals are about 1.5cm long, small and round like beans. We make animals like bunnies (of course!), penguins, goldfish, little chicks, bears, turtles, seals, bees, ladybugs... etc etc. Very difficult to list them all here but I'll try to put as many pictures as possible on the slideshow (see right). Here's some info for the "mini aquarium" above:
handmade goldfish (many colours available) and starfish with ploymer clay
Jam jar size: diameter 4cm x H:5cm
goldfish size: approx. L:1.5cm
PS: This cat is Jiji from Kiki's Delivery service. We bought it from Ghibli Museum (Mitaka, Japan) and it's not for sale ^^

Location of sample bunnies
Towel bunnies finally made it to the Pacific Mall! Check out "Eva's Pattern", a clothing store located on the upper level of the Pacific Mall (Markham, Ontario), unit M-20; the store owner has been kind enough to let us display and sell our towel bunnies (yay!!!). Drop by if you are around the area! This will also be the location where our craft could be picked up, for any client who wants to save shipping!
